BitLife God Mode: What It Does, Features, Price & How to Use It

BitLife God Mode is a paid feature that gives you more control over the characters in BitLife. You can create and edit characters, change attributes and customize details such as appearance, giving you more control over how a life begins and how the people around your character develop.

If you are wondering what God Mode actually does, how much it costs, how to use it, or whether it is different from Bitizenship, this guide explains the feature and its current options without making you guess what each purchase gives you.

What Is BitLife God Mode?

God Mode is a one-time BitLife purchase that lets you create and edit characters in the game.

BitLife’s official Help Center describes God Mode as a feature that lets players take control of character details such as eye color, hairstyle, Smarts and Craziness. It is designed for players who want more control over characters instead of relying entirely on randomly generated lives.

That control can make a big difference if you enjoy creating specific types of characters, experimenting with different lives, or changing the people around your character.

God Mode is also different from a normal career or expansion pack. It is a character-control feature that works alongside the regular BitLife experience.

What Can You Do With BitLife God Mode?

The main reason players buy God Mode is the extra control it gives them over characters.

The exact options available can depend on where you are in the game, but the feature can be used for character creation and editing rather than simply adding another career.

Create a more customized character

God Mode lets you have more control when creating a new life.

Instead of accepting every part of a randomly generated character, you can customize certain characteristics and create the type of Bitizen you want to play.

This can be especially useful when you are starting a challenge or want to build a character around a particular idea.

Change character appearance

God Mode can be used to customize appearance details.

BitLife’s current official description specifically mentions options such as eye color and hairstyle. Other character-editing options may appear depending on the character and current version of the game.

Change character attributes

God Mode also gives you control over character attributes.

BitLife specifically identifies attributes such as Smarts and Craziness as examples of what God Mode can control.

Current guides also document additional editable attributes and appearance options when editing existing characters.

Edit other characters

One of the more useful parts of God Mode is that the editing feature is not limited to the character whose life you are playing.

Current gameplay documentation describes selecting another person through the Relationships area and using the character’s edit option to change available details such as appearance and attributes.

This can completely change the way you approach a BitLife story.

Instead of simply reacting to the people the game generates, you can use character editing to create the type of family, partner or social situation you want to explore.

What Can’t You Change With God Mode?

God Mode gives you more control, but it does not mean every part of a BitLife character is editable.

For example, current gameplay documentation says that when creating a new life, God Mode still does not let you choose certain details such as the character’s birthdate, conception method or siblings.

That distinction matters because descriptions such as “you can control everything” can create the wrong expectation.

A better way to think about God Mode is more control, not unlimited control.

The available editing options can also change as BitLife receives updates, so a specific option should be checked in the current version of the game before assuming it is available.

How to Use God Mode in BitLife

After purchasing God Mode, the feature becomes part of your normal BitLife gameplay.

For a new life, the customization options can appear during character creation, allowing you to set available characteristics before beginning the life.

To edit another character, current gameplay instructions describe opening that person’s profile from your relationships and selecting the available edit option. From there, you can change the attributes and appearance options that God Mode provides for that character.

The exact menus can change as BitLife updates, so if an option appears in a different place in your version, look for the character’s profile and available editing controls rather than relying on an older screenshot or menu path.

How Much Does BitLife God Mode Cost?

For the U.S. App Store, BitLife currently lists God Mode at $9.99. The same listing currently shows Bitizenship at $7.99 and a Bitizenship + God Mode bundle at $15.99.

However, BitLife says God Mode prices vary by platform and country. The company’s official advice is to check the God Mode purchase button inside the game for the price available to you.

So if you see a different price from $9.99, that does not necessarily mean the information is wrong. Your platform or country may use a different price.

Is BitLife God Mode a one-time purchase?

Yes. BitLife describes God Mode as a purchase rather than a recurring subscription.

The price and available bundles can change over time, so the in-game purchase screen remains the best place to confirm the current amount before buying.

How to Buy BitLife God Mode

You can purchase God Mode through BitLife’s available purchase options.

Open BitLife and look for the God Mode purchase option in the game’s marketplace or purchase area. Select God Mode and follow your device’s normal app-store payment process.

If you already purchased God Mode but cannot access it, check that you are using the correct BitLife account and look for the option to restore earlier purchases. BitLife’s official Help Center provides account and purchase-restoration instructions for purchases that are not appearing correctly.

God Mode vs Bitizenship: What’s the Difference?

God Mode and Bitizenship are different purchases with different purposes.

God Mode is mainly about giving you more control over character creation and editing.

Bitizenship provides broader premium gameplay benefits, including unlimited generations, additional interactions with teachers and bosses, more salon and spa options, access to the pet store, Dark Mode and additional storyline content.

There is also a Bitizenship + God Mode bundle in the current U.S. App Store listing.

BitLife itself confirms that both God Mode and Bitizenship can stop pop-up ads.

The important difference is therefore what you want to get from the game. God Mode is centered on character control, while Bitizenship is a broader premium upgrade.

Is BitLife God Mode Worth It?

That depends on how you play BitLife.

God Mode can be useful if you enjoy creating specific characters, changing character attributes, experimenting with unusual lives, or controlling more of the people in your character’s world.

It may matter less if you enjoy BitLife mainly because of its randomness and prefer accepting whatever character and circumstances the game generates.

The same applies if your main reason for buying a premium upgrade is access to broader BitLife content rather than character editing. In that situation, Bitizenship may address a different need because its benefits extend beyond God Mode’s character controls.

The best way to judge the purchase is therefore to look at the feature you actually want rather than treating God Mode as an upgrade that every BitLife player needs.

What Can You Use God Mode For?

God Mode becomes more interesting when you use it to create a specific gameplay scenario.

Creating a character for a challenge

If you want to build a life around a particular goal, customizing your starting character can remove some of the randomness and let you focus on the challenge itself.

Experimenting with high or low attributes

You can use character editing to experiment with different attribute combinations and see how they affect a life.

This can be useful when you want to compare different approaches rather than repeatedly starting random lives.

Building a specific family or relationship

Because God Mode can allow editing of other characters, you can use it to shape parts of the world around your Bitizen instead of waiting for the game to generate exactly the situation you want.

Creating unusual stories

This is where God Mode can be especially fun.

You can create characters and situations that would be difficult to encounter naturally, then see what happens when you play the resulting life.

Does God Mode Remove Ads?

Yes.

BitLife’s official Help Center says purchasing either God Mode or Bitizenship can stop pop-up advertisements.

This means you do not necessarily need both purchases simply because you want an ad-free game.

However, the two purchases still provide different gameplay benefits, so the character-editing features of God Mode and the broader premium features of Bitizenship should be considered separately.

Common BitLife God Mode Problems

I bought God Mode but cannot use it

First, make sure you are using the same BitLife account associated with the purchase.

BitLife recommends checking the account in the Main Menu and using the Restore Earlier Purchases option in Settings when a purchase is missing.

If that does not restore the purchase, BitLife recommends contacting its support team.

I cannot find an option shown in an old God Mode guide

BitLife changes its menus and features over time.

An older guide or screenshot may therefore show a menu that looks different from the current version.

If you are following an old guide, check the current character profile, Relationships area and Marketplace rather than assuming your version must have exactly the same menu layout.

God Mode does not let me change everything

That is expected.

God Mode gives you significant character-editing control, but it does not mean every part of a life can be manually changed. For example, current documentation identifies several details that remain outside the new-life customization options.

Final Thoughts

BitLife God Mode is best understood as a character-control feature rather than a general replacement for every BitLife premium feature.

It gives you more freedom to create and edit characters, adjust available attributes, customize appearances and shape the people around your Bitizen.

The current U.S. App Store price is $9.99, although BitLife says pricing varies by platform and country.

If you enjoy experimenting with different characters and stories, the extra control can change how you play BitLife. If you prefer the randomness of the standard game, you may find fewer reasons to use it.

Either way, knowing exactly what God Mode does is more useful than simply knowing that it is a premium feature.
